For more than a decade I have been photographing Los Angeles from a helicopter every year. Many of my earlier photographs were published in my book LA NY, Thames and Hudson, 2017.
The first week in February, just after the unprecedented LA fires were put out, I chartered a Helicopter and flew out to the site of the Eaton/Altadena, Palisades, and Malibu fire aftermaths, creating a record of the destruction before the cleanup began. It is important to be aware of the destruction climate change is wreaking and these photographs serve as a reminder.
