In 2019 Jeffrey was granted the very rare privilege of flying low in a helicopter over the inner ring of Paris for my book Paris From the Air, Rizzoli. At the time Notre Dame was being rebuilt and it was prohibited to photograph. In October last year, he received permission for a one hour flight over Paris to be able to photograph Notre Dame, and the city again. Permission is so rarely granted that was written up in the newspaper. Thanks to Rebecca Moreau for arranging the flight. The authorities required that certain buildings are required to be blurred for security reasons (as they are on Google Maps) or pixelated.
